Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology (725)

Our Veterinary Technology curriculum provides students with the requirements necessary to sit for the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE). Upon successful completion of the VTNE, and registration with the State Board of Veterinary Medicine, the graduate will be credentialed as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).

Curriculum Effective Fall 2016:

Biology Major Requirements: (59 credit hours)

Students seeking a major in Veterinary Technology must complete the following:

Biology core: 8 credit hours
— BIOL1010/1011
— BIOL1020/1021

Veterinary Technology core: Take the following 48 credit hours VTEC 1010/1011, 1020, 1030/1031, 2060, 2090/2091, 2600, 2900, 3010, 3100/3101, 3190/3191, 3200/3201, 3700/3701, and 4090.
